Lone Star Book Rescue offers free book and media pickup for families, homeschoolers, teachers, downsizing households, and local residents in Conroe, Willis, The Woodlands, Montgomery, and nearby Montgomery County areas.
If you are cleaning out shelves, organizing a playroom, preparing for a move, clearing homeschool materials, or sorting through boxes of books after a garage cleanout, we may be able to help.
We pick up books, textbooks, children’s books, homeschool books, nonfiction, religious books, DVDs, CDs, video games, and other clean media when the pickup is a good fit. Pickup is by appointment only and we do not offer public drop-off.
We usually look for larger pickups of around 4 or more boxes or bags, though smaller pickups may be considered if they include textbooks, homeschool materials, technical books, professional books, or other higher-need items. Books should be clean and free of water damage, mold, strong odors, or heavy damage. Normal used-book wear is usually fine.
Our goal is to keep usable books and media in circulation instead of letting them sit in closets, garages, storage units, or landfills. Some items are donated locally, some are resold online to help cover pickup, sorting, storage, and operating costs, and damaged items may be recycled when possible.
For fastest review, text photos of the books, your ZIP code, approximate box or bag count, and whether the items are already boxed or still on shelves. Call or text: (832) 374-8480 Website: https://conroebookdonations.com
